This map of the ancient world is divided into seven climatic zones. The Asia continent is severely truncated and there is no Japan. The map is nicely composed in a semi-circular projection with a ribbon draped title cartouche at left and a portrait of Strabo at right. At top is a strange and interesting vignette showing a man lounging on top of a prison made into the side of a mountain.
