This small travel guide is similar in nature to Beadle’s The American Lawyer, and Business-Man's Form Book that was popular during the 1850s. It contains 49 maps for each state and territory along with a brief history. Includes other information relevant to the emigrant including government lands, postal laws and patent laws. 281 pp., hardbound in brown cloth with gilt title on front cover.

Maps and text are excellent with some pleasant faint toning. Covers and spine show typical wear.
