Simple yet evocative miniature woodblock Ptolemaic map showing a broad outline of the British Isles with no detail other than the location of the cities of Edinburgh and Dover. Wales is depicted as a narrow-necked peninsula and Scotland veers to the east in Ptolemaic fashion. The map is on a full sheet of German text measuring 7.5 x 11.8".
