This is a fine view of El Escorial seen from the Pantheon of the Evangelists with its magnificent gardens. This prospect view was published by Basset who was a well-known publisher of optical prints, established in rue St Jacques in Paris.

Nice impression and original color with some minor foxing in the blank margins.
