This important map of Chile, showing the Cuyo provinces (Chicuito), is based on the descriptions of Alfonso de Ovalle, a Chilean-born Jesuit. Detail is primarily confined to the region west of the Andes. The map is graced with a lovely title cartouche that complements the scientific style of the cartography.

There are a couple tiny worm tracks in the top border at center that are repaired on verso.
