This National Geographic Magazine map of the North Pole covers from the pole to 60°N latitude and shows the routes of explorers from various countries identified by color. Telegraph lines, railroads, steamship routes and winter harbors are identified. There are detailed insets of Spitzbergen, Franz Joseph Land and the Smith Sound Region. The map presents an extremely detailed view of the various explorations of the nineteenth century, all in beautiful color.
