A delicately crafted miniature leaf on very fine vellum. The book was so small that it must have been the property of a lady who carried it with her. The verso contains a very nice initial in dark red and gold with blue penwork in the margin, and there are two other initials are in blue, red and gold leaf. The text is from the Hours of the Virgin, and it is written in a Humanistic bookhand in black/brown ink with the rubrics in red.
