An uncommon and decorative map of the Philipine Archipelago, based on the 1734 map of the Jesuit Father Pedro de Murillo Velarde. The map is filled with information and placenames on the islands, with just a tentative northern shoreline for Borneo shown. At the top, a decorative landscape cartouche describes a small village with oysters and pearls in the foreground.
