Linen backed pocket map folds into gilt-stamped blue cloth covers. The linen backing is original and very early for Rand, McNally pocket maps. Obviously designed for additional durability, the map has survived in near fine condition. Large and very detailed, the map is filled with information on towns and villages, roads, watershed, and much more. The pocket map is complete with its 136 page booklet "Rand, McNally & Co.'s Indexed County and Township Map of Pennsylvania…Designating all Post Office Towns and Railroad Stations, and giving Full Postal Directions…Also, an Alphabetically Arranged List of all Railroads in the State…" A rare issue of this pocket map on full linen.
