Attractive pair of plans for the important port of Veracruz in the Gulf of Mexico. Veracruz was the first port established in New Spain by Hernan Cortes in 1519, and later was a scene of many battles during the ensuing years.

1) De Stad Vera Cruz in Nieuw Spanje features a plan of the port with St. Juan d'Ulloa across the bay. The plan includes a compass and soundings for the port. (8.8 x 7.2")
2) De Reede en Haven van Vera Cruz shows an overview of the coastline from Punta Gorda to Punta Anton Lizardo, showing reefs, soundings and water hazards. (10.3 x 6.8")
