This superb map of the region bordering the Black Sea depicts present-day Ukraine and extends to include Constantinople in the south and north to Moscow and Smolensko. Great detail throughout shows mountains, watershed, roads, villages and towns. The large decorative title cartouche is surrounded in clouds with several putti. Four distance scales and compass rose.

Condition: A+

Dark, early engraved line and very fine coloring, on thick paper with original margins. Uncolored cartouche, as issued. Two tiny spots outside main portion of map.
